Let’s talk salads today. Are you a salad person? Do you enjoy your salad crunchy, warm, pungent or with dressing? Or is it an altogether different combination? Would you rather have plenty of greens in it or a fair share of meat? Here are three drool-worthy vegetarian salad recipes from three food-lover bloggers around the world. Tomorrow we bring to you three non-vegetarian salads.
Vegetarian Som Tum Thai Salad
This salad takes about 15 minutes to prepare if you have all the ingredients in place and is great for summers, although it can be had anytime. Sailu’s Kitchen has this simple green papaya Som Tum or Som Tam recipe, a dish which is eaten widely across almost the entire Southeast Asia.
Roasted Beet and Orange Salad
Now this is something that is very wintery and is packed with the awesomeness of beetroot and oranges. Bree at Bakedbree suggests that this salad gets better the longer it sits, and therefore it is one that can prepared in a large quantity and you can snack on it all week!
Spinach, Pear and Pomegranate Salad
This salad is serious nutrition, and ingredients that are easy to find at your neighbourhood grocer. It takes about 25 minutes to prepare and is good for one of those days when you are craving for spinach. (Yes, there are people who crave for spinach! Popeye, for example…) Try it out!
